How I collect, use, and protect your information, written in plain English, the same way I wrote the book.

This Privacy Policy explains how Jeff Topper ("Topper," "I," or "me") collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit sowhatdoidonow.com and request my free book, So... What Am I Supposed to Do Now?, and its audio edition. By using this site, you agree to the practices described here.

1. What I collect

Information you give me. When you request the book, you give me your first name and email address. If you reply to one of my emails, I also receive whatever you choose to write.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, this site and the services it runs on may use cookies and similar technology to record basic technical information, such as your browser and device type, the pages you visit, and when you visit. This helps keep the site working and shows me how it is used.

Spam protection. The signup forms on this site are protected by Google reCAPTCHA. Its use is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

2. How I use your information

  • To send you the book and audio edition you asked for.
  • To send you follow-up emails with my story, lessons I've learned, and occasional recommendations for products and services I use.
  • To answer your messages when you write to me.
  • To keep the site secure, prevent spam, and improve how it works.
  • To meet any legal obligations.

3. How your information is stored and shared

This site is built and hosted with The Home Business Academy's Funnel Builder, and my email list is managed with HBA Emailer. These services store your name and email address on my behalf and deliver my emails to you.

I do not sell or rent your personal information. I share it only with the service providers that help me run this site and send my emails, or when the law requires it.

4. Your choices and rights

  • Unsubscribe anytime. Every email I send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email me and I'll remove you.
  • See, correct, or delete your information. Email me and I'll take care of it.
  • Where you live may give you more rights. Depending on your location (for example, Europe, the United Kingdom, or certain U.S. states such as California), you may have additional rights over your personal information. Contact me to use any of them.

5. Links to other websites

My pages and emails may link to websites owned by other people or companies. Some of those are affiliate links. I'm not responsible for how those websites handle your information, so please read their privacy policies.

6. How long I keep your information

I keep your information for as long as you're on my email list, or as long as I need it for the purposes above. If you unsubscribe, I may keep a record of your email address so I don't accidentally email you again.

7. Keeping your information safe

I use reputable services and take reasonable steps to protect your information. No website or email system is 100% secure, but I treat your information the way I'd want mine treated.

8. Children

This site is meant for adults. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has signed up, email me and I'll delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. When I do, the new version will be posted on this page.
